Adult Residential Treatment Center (RTC)
Adult Residential Treatment · Reno, Nevada
Room to heal,
close to home.
A homelike, eight-bed adult residential home in Reno where around-the-clock clinical care comes wrapped in the comfort of a real home — a safe, structured place to stabilize, heal, and begin again.
You’re in the right place
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
Whether you’re worried about yourself or someone you love, the hardest part is often the first phone call. When you reach us, you’ll talk with a real person who listens, answers your questions plainly, and helps you understand the next step.
Talk with our admissions teamWhen residential is the right step
More support.
Residential care is the right level of care when weekly therapy or an outpatient program isn’t enough — when someone needs safety, structure, and support around the clock to stabilize and find their footing again.
Our adult home supports people 18 and older working through challenges such as:
- Depression
- Anxiety & panic
- Bipolar disorder
- Trauma & PTSD
- Co-occurring substance use
- Difficulty after a crisis
Not sure if it’s the right fit?
That’s exactly what the first call is for. Our team will talk through what’s going on, help you weigh residential against options like our Intensive Outpatient Program, and point you toward the right level of care.
Small by design
Specialized Help.
With just eight beds, our home stays calm and personal — a low resident-to-staff ratio, real relationships with the people caring for you, and a treatment plan built around one person at a time.
Residents share meals, rest in comfortable rooms, and move through their days in a warm, home-like setting designed to feel safe — because healing happens more easily when you feel at home.
The Sai continuum
Care that doesn’t end at discharge.
Sai offers a full range of care under one roof, so residents can step down into our own programs — with the same team already familiar with their story.
Residential
24/7 care and stabilization in the home.
Intensive Outpatient
Structured day treatment as you regain footing.
Outpatient Therapy
Ongoing individual and group support.
Psychiatry & TMS
Medication management and TMS when it helps.
Care that continues intentionally.
Life in the home
A steady rhythm to the day.
Days are structured but never rigid — a predictable pace that makes room for therapy, rest, connection, and the small routines that rebuild a sense of normal.
- MorningWake, breakfast together, and a grounding check-in to set intentions for the day.
- MiddayIndividual therapy and group sessions, plus time with psychiatry and medication management as needed.
- AfternoonSkill-building and wellness — coping tools, movement, and space to reflect.
- EveningA chef-prepared dinner, quiet time, and rest in a calm, supervised home.
The grounds
Room to breathe, outside too.
Beyond the home, calm outdoor space to walk, sit, and reset.
Getting started
Admission in three simple steps.
We keep the process simple.
Call and talk
Reach a real person on our admissions line. Tell us what’s going on; we’ll listen and answer your questions. Or fill out our form and our admissions team will reach out to you.
Verify & assess
We verify your insurance benefits, often the same day, and complete a brief assessment to confirm fit.
Come home
We welcome the admission, coordinate the details, and help the transition go as smoothly as possible.
Insurance & payment
Let’s take the cost question off your plate.
We accept many major insurance plans and will verify your benefits before you commit to anything — so you understand your coverage up front, with no surprises. Self-pay options are available, and our team will walk you through what to expect.
Verify your benefits
Call and we’ll check your coverage while you’re on the phone, then explain exactly what it means in plain language.
Common questions
The things families ask us first.
How long do people usually stay?
Most stays run about 30 to 60 days, set with your care team based on clinical needs. We’ll give you a realistic picture during the admissions conversation and revisit it together as things progress.
Is this a voluntary program?
Yes. Residents choose to be here and work alongside our team on their own goals. We’ll go over your rights and what to expect at admission.
Can residents keep their phone or have visitors?
We balance connection with the focus that healing needs. Our team will explain our approach to phones, visits, and staying in touch with loved ones when you call.
What should someone bring?
Comfortable clothing, any current medications, and personal essentials. We’ll send a simple what-to-bring checklist once an admission is scheduled.
How soon can someone be admitted?
Often quickly, depending on availability and benefits. The fastest way to find out is to call — we’ll tell you where things stand today.
What happens after residential care?
Most residents step down into Sai’s own outpatient and intensive outpatient programs, psychiatry, or TMS — so care continues with a team that already knows their story.
